Good Afternoon Parents and Teachers!
Sunday school- DIGG Church Teacher and Youth Leader Meetings- Sunday Novembr 19th after Church. Teachers from 11:30 to 12 and Youth Leaders are 12-12:30. Christmas Pageant- The Christmas Pageant is going to be one that was thought up by our own Addie Malley. The Pageant is going to be December 17th. So mark it on your calendars now and make sure you can be there. Sunday is the last day to sign up for the pageant. Some of the parents have been asking about the preschool and K, 1, &2 kids. Anyone who shows up on Pageant day is welcome to dress. You don’t have to sign up if your kids are in those younger classes. Preschool students dress as Angels and they will sing Away in a Manger. The K, 1, &2 kids will dress as sheep and walk or crawl up the aisle with the shepherds. These character groups are the same every year and are the coming of age marks for many kids who have grown up at Trinity. Youth Group- MSYG-11:30 to 1pm in the Youth Room. SHYG- Watching Batman v Superman in the Youth Room from 6:30-9pm Mission Trip 2018- I am actively preparing for next year’s mission trip to Houston. We have been in contact with the same Travel agent that Tara Smith uses for her school trips and I have spoken with Group to hold our spot. Because this trip has been very popular we are going to have to move quickly to put our deposits in before it fills up. Deposits of $100 per person are going to be due December 1. We will have the financial breakdown of the trip and the flights for you during the Mission Trip Pot Luck. Please make sure that you are prompt with these deposits. There will be no room for late entrants. Also, this will be a multi-generational trip similar to our trip to New Orleans after Katrina. Anyone who is interested in going on this trip MUST participate in the Pumpkin Patch and any other fundraising opportunities. Between the cost of travel and a week with Group Work Camps, this trip is going to be expensive. There will be no opportunities for scholarships without intense participation in fundraising. Students can go door to door to sell wreaths and calendars. Make every effort to help defray the cost of this trip. For anyone who is not interested in going to Houston next year, we are also going to be welcoming Matt from Camp Washington during the Pot Luck Mission Trip meeting on November 19th. He will come to discuss camp options with us and answer any questions you may have about summer camp at Camp Washington. Any Fundraising participation can also go toward a week at Camp. **Don't forget: We will be doing our We Are The Children Toy Drive November 19th through December 16th.
