It's "Merry Christmas" Time!
View this email in your browser
Good Afternoon Parents and Teachers!

Youth Group-This Sunday is our Joint Youth Group Christmas Party!!! It is from 11:30-1pm.
Parents, please let me know by Friday if your kids are coming…. I would like to purchase a little something for each of them, so I need to know who is going to be there. Also, the kids are encouraged to bring their favorite holiday treat to share! I am going to have warm apple cider and we are going to have a chocolate fountain!! If your child does not have a favorite Christmas treat, consider bringing something to dip in chocolate… YUM!

Family New Year’s Eve Party- At Trinity we have always done something fun for New Year’s Eve. For a long time we played Laser Tag, then we had some EPIC Rock’n Bowl Competitions, Back to Laser Taging, and last year we had the Gaga Tournament of all Gaga Tournaments. This year we are hosting a Family Game night! All Families are invited! So, bring your friends, good food, and your game face! From 6-9 pm on New Year’s Eve we are going to have a Gaga Pit for those into the more active games, Giant Jenga, Twister, Crafts, Board Games, All of it! It is going to be a Blast!! And even better, it is for the whole family!! (and you can still get home and be in bed before the ball drops!!) Sign up in the Foyer to bring food for the potluck, to let us know if you are coming, and don’t forget to bring a friend!
Mission Trip- The mission Trip Response Due Date is January 27th! This is the day when Youth group members commit to going on the mission trip. The deposit is also due that day. If you have more questions about the Mission to New York City with Center for Student Missions (CSM), please see Manda or John Nagy.  We have gone on a trip with CSM in Boston back in 2016. Unfortunately, the CSM center in Boston has closed, so we are going to go to NYC this year. The Trip Dates are August 6-10, 2019. Like last time, we are going to be looking for at least three other adults to come on the trip. It would be extra helpful if those adults are willing to drive. We can have as many as 12 people on this trip, so talk with your kids and see if they are interested.

Soulfest- If CSM doesn’t suit you we are also going to be volunteering at Soulfest. The Mylander’s have offered to let us join them at their camp site. Soulfest is July 31- Aug 4. If you are interested, please contact Manda.

See you Sunday!

Good Morning Parents!

Wreaths- The wreaths are here. If you have not picked yours up please do so at your earliest convenience. They are all labeled by last name so all you have to do is pick up the pile with your name on it.

Sunday School- Regular Sunday School this week!

Youth Group-The Middle School youth group is going to be tasked with helping the little kids during the Giving Party this Sunday. Since the party and youth group would be happening at the same time, I thought it would be best to give them more time to volunteer. The Senior High Youth Group is going to have Dinner and Worship this Sunday Night. So, bring your instruments and your friends and we will have some food and fellowship.
Christmas Pageant: The Christmas Pageant this year is based on the song by Casting Crowns, Christmas Offering. We will be discussing all the things we can offer to Jesus at Christmas, as only Kids can. This is going to be another wonderful Pageant that your children and friends offer to each of us. The readers have all been chosen and they will receive their scripts this Sunday. But, that does not mean that we are not accepting more participants! Everyone is welcome to be a part of the Christmas Pageant!! Just show up at 9 am on Pageant day, December 16th, and we will get everyone dressed!

Mission Trip- The Mission Trip for Next Summer is going to be New York City with Center for Student Mission (CSM). We have gone on a trip with CSM in Boston back in 2016. Good Afternoon Parents!

Wreaths- The Wreaths were supposed to be delivered on Tuesday, Nov 20th but Mike the Wreath Guy called and said they have been inundated with snow up in Lubec, Maine, and he wasn’t going to be able to make it. He is hoping to get here either Thursday(Tomorrow) or Friday, in which case the wreaths will be available for Sunday Service. But if the weather didn’t let up then he will not be arriving until Monday or Tuesday. Either way, we will send out a mass email as soon as the wreaths are available for pick up. Thank you for your patience!
Sunday School- During thanksgiving recess we have a video in the chapel, so we can give our teachers the Sunday off. If you would like to hang out in the chapel with Manda and your children during the service, you are welcome to join us.

Youth Group-NO Youth Groups this week for thanksgiving recess. Instead, you can join us on the Simsbury Celebrates Clean up. We will meet in the Welcome Foyer during the Peace. From there we will be driving to the parking lot at Simsmore Square (by Starbucks and Subway in Simsbury). We will be walking up and down Hopmeadow street before returning to Subway for Lunch.  If you come clean up, you get to go skating with us in January!

And we need YOU to help clean up!
View this email in your browser

Patch Clean up is THIS Saturday!

We have sold over $20,000 worth of pumpkins this year!! That is the most in at least the last 10 years. Thank you to all who have participated, purchased, and volunteered!

But, there is one more thing we need to do...
Clean up!

This Saturday at 11 am we will be meeting at the Patch to celebrate, close, and clean up for 2018.

As always, we are looking for as many hands as possible to help this go quickly and efficiently. Consider bringing, rakes, blowers, tarps, and the like, in order to make the area look nice for the Boy Scouts who will be moving in soon after us.
We are also looking for Trucks or Trailers to help move all the equipment back to Trinity and Specialty Saw for Storage.
Please, let me know if you are coming so I can make sure we have enough food for all our helpers!

Thank you!!

Good Afternoon Parents!

Pumpkin Patch- THE PUMPKINS ARE RUNNING LOW!!! We have brought in over $18,000 already for our patch! Thank you!  To all the volunteers who have signed up to cover shifts and all those families who told their friends and neighbors about our patch; we would not have been able to do so without you. There are still some shifts needing to be covered!
Today 5-7pm
Wednesday 12:30-3, 3-4:30pm

Sign up on SignUpGenius at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4eadaa2aabff2-pumpkin1 or on the bulletin board next to Drive Thru Coffee.
Remember, this is the largest fundraiser of the year and we want to make sure that all of our students are able to go on Mission trips if they choose. Thank you for all your help with this patch and all of our Fundraising.

Sunday School- Regular Sunday School

Youth Group- No Youth Groups this week due to the Emmaus Weekend.

Wreath Sales: Our Wreath Fundraiser is back in the Welcome Foyer near Drive Thru Coffee. See the table to order your wreath. We have a list of what you ordered last year, if you did so, as well as the prices and sizes for this year. Students who are going on the Mission trip this year are also selling these wreaths and a portion of sales they bring in goes directly toward bringing down the cost of their trip.

Mission Trip- The Mission Trip for Next Summer is going to be New York City with Center for Student Mission (CSM). We have gone on a trip with CSM in Boston back in 2016. Unfortunately, the CSM center in Boston has closed so we are going to go to NYC this year. The Trip Dates are August 6-10, 2019. Like last time, we are going to be looking for at least three other adults to come on the trip. It would be extra helpful if those adults are willing to drive. We can have as many as 12 people on this trip, so talk with your kids and see if this is something they are interested in. Our Mission Trip potluck this year will be November 11th from 7-8:30.
Christmas Pageant: The Christmas Pageant this year is based on the song by Casting Crowns, Christmas Offering. We will be discussing all the things we can offer to Jesus at Christmas, as only Kids can. This is going to be another wonderful Pageant that your children and friends offer to each of us, please sign your children up in the Welcome Foyer by Drive Thru Coffee and tell all your friends and family to come see it!

See you Sunday!

The PUMPKINS are here! The PUMPKINS are here!!!!
View this email in your browser
Good Morning Parents!

Pumpkin Patch- THE PUMPKINS ARE HERE!!! Due to Super Speedy drivers our pumpkins have arrived early. Therefore, we are going to unload the truck beginning today at 2:30. Rev. Kevin from First Church is going to be picking up as many of his youth as he can gather straight from Simsbury High today and busing them down to the patch for unloading. As you get out of work consider stopping by and helping for a couple hours. Remember the more helpers we have the less work each individual has to do. Plus, by helping at the patch, we are showing the community that we support our youth and our youth programs!
Can’t make it tonight but want to cover a shift? Sign up on SignUpGenius. The link is: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4eadaa2aabff2-pumpkin1
